Boston Town 0, St Ives 2

The Poachers lost for only the second time since Christmas

The Poachers lost for only the second time since Christmas as they failed to derail St Ives' title bid.

The visitors took the lead after 11 minutes when Stead converted a penalty and went 2-0 up after 27 minutes through Lawless.

Boston though they had been given a penalty when St Ives went down to 10 men before half-time.

Fordham was sent off for hauling down Josh Ford as he charged into the box - but Town officials were bemused when a free-kick was awarded just outside the area.

Boston couldn't battle their way back into the game against a side who've lost only once in the league all season.

Town: Ashton, Leggett (Stocks), Pinner, Maltby, Wood, Wilson, Borbely, Reed, Dunn, Ford, Robinson
