Smaller league for Poachers

UCL Premier Division reduced to 20 teams

The Poachers will play two fewer league games than they were expecting this season.

The ChromaSport and Trophies United Counties League Premier Division will have only 20 clubs in 2013-14 instead of the 21 which it has had in recent years.

Godmanchester Rovers were originally moved to the UCL but have won their appeal to stay in the Eastern Counties League.

However, Wisbech Town will make the switch from the ECL as planned. The Fenmen have just signed former Boston Town youngster Tom James.

The four new teams in the UCL Premier League are:

Wisbech Town (moved from ECL)
Woodford United (relegated from Southern League Division One Central)
AFC Rushden & Diamonds (promoted from UCL Division One)
Northampton Sileby Rangers (promoted from UCL Division One)

Leaving the division are:

Blackstones (relegated to UCL Division One)
Irchester (relegated to UCL Division One)
St Ives (promoted to Southern League Division One Central
Quorn (moved to Midland Alliance)
Shepshed Dynamo (moved to Midland Alliance)
