Hall of Fame No. 43

Midfield maestro Paul Goodhand takes his rightful place in the Hall of Fame

Paul Goodhand (Midfielder, 2004 - 15)

They pretty much had to rip up the record books when Paul Goodhand came along.

For seven seasons, the midfield maestro had a colossal influence on the Boston Town team.

He pulled the strings from the centre of the pitch, was an ever-present danger from set-pieces - and scored the little matter of 135 goals.

It's a staggering total that any striker would have been proud of.

In 2008-09 Goody was the club's top scorer with 28 and on two other occasions he managed more than 20 in a season.

On top of all that, he's one of football nice guys - genuinely popular with supporters and in the dressing room so it was a pleasure to see him back gracing the turf again at the DWB Stadium during our 50th anniversary season.

Debut: 7 February 2004 - Boston Town 1, Buckingham Town 1
