New arrivals join as 2015-16 season is about to get underway

Boston Town have bolstered their squad with three further new signings.

Terry Fleming, Kieran Doherty and Richard Ford have joined the Poachers in time for their new United Counties League campaign starting this weekend.

The hugely experienced Fleming started out as a youngster with Coventry City in the top flight.

The midfielder, now 42, played on the very first day of Premiership football on 15 August 1992.

Fleming lined up alongside the likes of Micky Quinn, Roy Wegerle, Kenny Sansom, Phil Babb, Steve Ogrizovic and Peter Ndlovu and went on to make more than 400 league appearances in total for Northampton, Preston, Lincoln City, Plymouth, Cambridge United and Grimsby. More recently he has managed Lincoln United and Sleaford.

Midfielder Doherty also has experience of the the UCL, having played for Kings Lynn in 2010-11, while Ford has signed from Leverton after impressing against Town in Tuesday's pre-season friendly.

Fans will notice more ground improvements at the DWB Stadium this season - with concreting work having been taking place over the summer break in the North Stand.

Our first fixture is at home to Oadby on Saturday (8 August), kick off 3pm.
