Goals galore

Poachers aim to bounce back from FA Cup exit

For the third time this season, Boston Town face a potentially high-scoring shoot-out when they travel to Cogenhoe on Saturday (22 August) in a league fixture.

While the Poachers were being walloped 6-1 by Deeping in the FA Cup at the weekend, the Cooks were winning 6-0 away to Bedford in the same competition.

Boston themselves have been banging in the goals so far in their topsy-turvy start to the season - scoring 10 in three games but conceding nine.

It's the third time they will face opponents who are also in the middle of a scoring spree. Deeping had won their previous game 7-2 while their opening day opponents Oadby were fresh off the back of a 7-0 pre-season win.

New signing Aris Placis will be available after serving a suspension carried over from last season.
