Jason takes over as manager

Assistant manager steps up as Mark Angel leaves club

Mark Angel has left Boston Town for personal reasons.

His assistant Jason Callaby will take over as manager until the end of the season, with veteran midfielder Terry Fleming stepping up to act as his number two.

A Boston Town spokesman said Angel's departure was because of family commitments. He added that Angel had parted company with the club on good terms and the club wished him all the best in the future.

The former West Brom and Boston United winger took over last summer and won the United Counties League manager of the month award in November. But a poor run of league results since Christmas has left the Poachers uncomfortably close to the bottom of the table.
