Tributes paid to Pat Malkinson

Condolences on the death of former Boston United chairman

Boston Town would like to offer their condolences to the family of Pat Malkinson, who has died at the age of 75.

Poachers chairman Mick Vines paid tribute to Mr Malkinson, whose family owned the York Street club for almost 70 years.

He credits him with helping to foster a warmer relationship between the two clubs following many years of frostiness.

Mr Vines said: "Both clubs started to become much more friendly when Pat was in charge. We both got on so well and Boston Town sends its condolences to his wife Pauline and family.

"Without Pat there would never be a Boston United."
