Poachers beaten by penalty

Boston Town's six-game unbeaten run came to an end despite a battling performance at high-flying Cogenhoe.

It took a penalty on the hour mark to defeat a youthful Poachers line-up.

There was a new face in the Boston side in the shape of keeper Rob Zand from Brigg Town. With no Lambley, Wood or Iley int he team and Kennedy and Goodhand on the bench there were first starts for youngsters Robbie Bryant and Danny Woods.

Depsite the defeat new boss Nathan Collins must be pleased with the shape his team are in at the turn of the year after they showed over the last week that they can mix it with the likes of Cogenhoe and AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
