Poachers\\\\\\\' fine run at home comes to an end

Boston Town 0, Huntingdon Town 5

The Poachers suffered a setback in their bid to march up the UCL table.

High-flying Huntingdon showed why they are the league's form team at the moment as they ruthlessly swept away Nathan Collins' new-look team in the second half.

Clear-cut chances were at a premium before the interval but the hosts found themselves 2-0 down thanks to an own goal and a penalty.

Ben Shove grabbed a hat-trick to end Boston's run of five consecutive home wins.

Although they're fifth, Huntingdon have games in hand and remain the team in the best position to challenge Spadling for the title.

Here's how the game unfolded:

0-5 - Ben Shove completes his hat-trick.

0-4 - Things going from bad to worse as Huntingdon show their class.

0-3 - Another goal for Huntingdon just before the break gives a very scoreline.

0-2 - A penalty doubles Huntingdon's lead. Town's run of five consecutive home wins under threat.

0-1 - An own goal puts the visitors in front.

Huntingdon will be delighted to get a game this afternoon - it will be their first action for four weeks after three successive postponements.

The Croms have slipped to fifth in the table but have lost only one league game all season.

Town: Drury, Lambley, Jackson, Nuttell, Wilson, Pinner (Wattam), Kennedy (Woods), Goodhand, Ford (Jones), Clare, Borbely.
