Poachers knocked out in semi-final

Huntingdon Town 5, Boston Town 0

The Poachers were given a harsh lesson by one of the outstanding sides in the UCL.

But they began this league cup semi-final positively and could have an early lead when Lori Borbely's shot was blocked following a dangerous Paul Goodhand free kick.

Ben Seymour-Shove put the hosts ahead on the quarter hour and Huntingdon increased their lead after 26 minutes through Jacob Joyce.

Boston threw Jordan Nuttell into attack and brought on pacy striker Robbie Bryant in a brave bid to claw themselves back into the tie but two second-half strikes by Declan Rogers and one by Stuart Eason settled things.

In the final, Huntingdon will play Deeping, who also won their semi-final 5-0.

Town: Drury, Wilson, Jackson, Nuttell, Baker, Mitchell (Pinner), Borbely, Goodhand, Wattam, Clare (Wood), Kennedy (Bryant).
