Fightback thwarted by three-goal burst

PNS 5, Boston Town 3

A crazy three-goal blitz in four minutes sent Boston Town spinning to a first defeat of the season.

But it all looked so promising midway through the second half.

Alex Beck had levelled an early Peterborought Northern Star strike only for th4 home side to retake the lead before the interval.

The Poachers had every reason to feel aggrieved at being 2-1 down after an impressive opening period.

And when Jordan Nuttell and Tom Charlesworth put them 3-2 ahead within ten minutes of the restart, a second away victory in a row seemed on the cards.

But that reckoned without a madcap spell which saw PNS score three unanswered goals in just four minutes to effectively wrap up the points.
