Boston Town missed out on a place in the Lincs Senior Trophy final - but they did the club proud with a battling performance against the odds.

High-flying Deeping will now play Cleethorpes in the showpiece final at Lincoln City's Sincil Bank ground in April after Jason Kilbride scored an 80th minute winner.

Scott Mooney had given the hosts an 18th minute lead against the run of play but Curtis Revell levelled when he grabbed his ninth goal of the season with the last kick of the first half.

The Poachers, who were already missing influential players including Jason Field and Aaron Eyett, suffered a blow when Lori Borbely went off with a nasty-looking ankle injury.

Jordan Tate came agonisingly close to snatching a last-gasp equaliser but Gary Frost's side will take heart from their display as they resume their relegation battle against Kirby Muxloe at the weekend.

Town: J Lambley, Tate, Pinner, L Lambley, Ashton, Ford, Revell, Hardy, Nuttell, Borbely, Maddison; subs: Dykes, Reid
