10-man Poachers suffer another home defeat

Boston Town 1, AFC Kempston Rovers 2

There were angry scenes at the final whistle as the Poachers yet again felt they had got the rough end of a number of disputed refereeing decisions.

Having led through a 3rd minute Ollie Pinner goal, the home side found themselves fuming after Nick Jackson was sent off in the 2nd half.

Ricky Drury saved the resulting penalty but with a man advantage Kempston forced an equaliser and were then given a second  penalty at the death to snatch all three points.

Town officials were furious afterwards and Jackson tweeted after his dismissal that he couldn't understand what he'd done to deserve a red card.

"How I've been sent off today is a joke," he said.

It was the third time in recent weeks that the Poachers have had a man dismissed - Liam Bull is already suspended, Pinner joins him on the sidelines for the FA Vase tie at Long Eaton next week and now Jackson will also be banned.
