Poachers halt Deeping winning streak

Boston Town pulled off arguably their best result of the season as they stopped the Deeping goal machine in its tracks.

Rangers had reeled off nine league wins in a row and scored 42 goals in the process.

The Poachers started well and joint player manager Ian Dunn hit the bar early on but they went 1-0 down after 12 minutes to a Ryan Oliver header.

But the visitors gritted their teeth and drew level after the break thanks to Josh Ford's ninth goal of the season after 65 minutes.

Dunn and co-manager Matt Hocking will be delighted with their side's resilience - and hopeful that it marks a turning point in what's been a  disappointing campaign so far.

Town: Drury, Lambley, Field, Pinner, Jackson, Wilson, Borbely (Bayliss), Maltby, Dunn (Nuttell), Ford, Ogden.
