The Poachers missed the chance to move up the table as they succumbed to a late goal at Desborough.

Gary Edgley was serving the second of his three-match ban.

Luke White had the best chance of an even first half but saw his header denied by a good save.

The hosts snatched all three points with a Philip Dashit winner after 78 minutes.

Boston were then hit with a double injury blow with both Jordan Tate and Stacy Cartwright having to go off.

The defeat leaves then without a win in their first four league games of the season.

Next up for the Poachers will be an away tie in the KitmanUK United Counties League Cup at Melton on Tuesday (17 September) when Edgely will again be missing.

Town: Portas, Tate, Cartwright, Moulds, Watkins, Ford, Beeson, Cunliffe, Beck, White, Bayliss; subs: Tunstall, Luto, Turki, Borbely, Neil
