Match report by Thomas Carter

Lee Beeson’s late winner secured all the three points for the Poachers.

It was important that Boston Town got a win from this game but with Cogenhoe two places below them in the league, it wasn’t going to be easy.

During the first half ,Town had a chance cleared off the line and then Alex Beck had a one on one opportunity that was saved by the visiting keeper (who made the game an enjoyable game to watch).

Both teams had some good chances and soon Fraser Bayliss had a good chance to make it 1-0 but Cogenhoe’s keeper made another show stopping save that kept the away team in the game.

Town continued to get chances in the second half. Alex Beck missed an absolute sitter and Cogenhoe cleared another chance off the line but in the 78th minute it was Lee Beeson who put Boston Town 1-0 up after a cross came to his feet - he took a touch and scored with his second.

Cogenhoe soon started to knock on the door but couldn’t find away through the Poachers' defence.

After over five minutes of added time, the final whistle was blown.
