United Counties League fixtures are finalised

Boston Town have plenty of catching up to do after the United Counties League schedule for the rest of the season was published.

Highlights include an Easter Monday home derby with Sleaford Town and a final day fixture at the DWB Stadium against Leicester Nirvana.

Nirvana are one of seven clubs still in with a realistic shout of the title.

Wisbech - despite being beaten home and away by the Poachers - moved up to second place yesterday with an 11-0 thrashing of Nothampton Sileby Rangers.

Newport Pagnell are still top while Deeping, Holbeach, Yaxley and Eynesbury will also consider themselves in the mix.

New Boston Town boss Dennis Greene has already set his sights on being part of the title race next season.

Yesterday's postponement meant the Poachers still have 20 league games to play. They have played fewer games than anyone else in the league and have as many as nine matches in hand on other clubs.

Greene's first game charge is now scheduled to be on Saturday (27 January) against Nothampton ON Chenecks at the DWB Stadium.
