Many happy returns to club legend Phil Scothorne!
The flamboyant winger celebrates his 70th birthday today.
Scothorne arrived at Tattershall Road from Frickley Athletic in the summer of 1974.
He was a star of the team for the next eight seasons, exciting fans with his wing play as Bob Don-Duncan led the club through a period of unprecedented success.
Scothorne's most memorable goal was the winner which saw the Poachers upset Bangor City in the FA Cup in 1976 and book an unforgettable trip to Barnsley in the 1st Round Proper.
He is one of an elite group of players to have made more than 300 appearances for the club and also scored 65 goals.
