Game in memory of Mr United Counties League

Blackstones will play a memorial match against Stamford to celebrate the life of Jeremy Biggs.

The popular United Counties League press officer died in November 2016.

He had been club secretary for Stamford and a regular at Blackstones.

The match will be held at Blackstones' ground on Thursday 5 July, kick off 7.45pm.

Stamford manager Graham Drury has donated a silver salver which will hopefully be contested annually by the two clubs.

Paul Downs, commercial manager at Blackstones, said: “I hope the town come out in force to support this ongoing match in Jeremy Biggs memory. He did so much for local football."

A donation to the British Heart Foundation will be made from match proceeds.
