Mick Vines verti-draining the pitch at the DWB Stadium
Mick Vines and Lori are busy working on the pitch at the DWB Stadium
There may be no football at the moment - but Boston Town's ground is still a hive of activity.
Mick Vines - surely one of the busiest chairman in non-league football - has started the process of "vert-draining" the pitch at the DWB Stadium
This is a form of deep spiking which allows oxygen into the root system to help surface water drain away better.
Lori Borbely has also been helping with the work, adding tractor-driving to a repertoire that includes being on the board of directors, coaching team - and also evergreen midfielder!
He said the main pitch had also been re-seeded as the club start preparations for next season unusually early.
Mick and Lori have a busy few weeks ahead, with the outside pitches also needing work.
