Boston Town boss Gary Edgley said this home defeat was a "tough result" as his side continued their inconsistent form.
He handed debuts to four new signings but his side couldn't follow up last week's excellent draw at Leicester Nirvana.
Edgley said: "So disappointed today, it’s like two steps forward and one back. Again new players making debuts, and you could tell as we looked like a team that hadn’t played together before.
"It was a tough result for the lads out there that gave me everything today and I feel for them, there were a lot of disappointed faces in the dressing room at full time including mine!
"It’s now down to the boys to put the hard work in on the training ground and then come back next Saturday and go again."
Harborough maintained their excellent form, making it three wins in row, in which they've scored an impressive 10 goals.
Boston are away next Saturday (8 December) to mid-table Peterborough Northern Star.
