Swans ruffle Boston's feathers
Boston Town suiffered a narrow reverse in their opening league game of the campaign.
After a goalless first period, Alex Marius grabbed the all-important winner for Swans just after the hour mark.
Boston's best chances before the interval came from a Will Britton shot into the side netting and an effort from debutant Ben Davison which narrowly went over the bar.
However, the biggest talking point of the first 45 minutes was a clash which saw Tom Liversedge lucky to be shown just a yellow card after Jason Field appeared to be elbowed in the face.
Fraser Bayliss fired a volley just wide after the break before Marius struck what turned out to be the winner.
Aaron Eyett could have levelled for the home side but saw his shot saved late on by Mark Osborn.
Pagnell manager Darren Lynch admitted afterwards: "We had to defend for our lives at the end."
The Poachers will now turn their attention to their FA Cup replay on Tuesday (15 August) at Radford, who lost their opening league match on Saturday 6-3 at home to Borrowash.
