Gary Edgley felt his side were worthy of a draw at high-flying Quorn.
He was pleased with the way Boston Town played but frustrated to see them lose 2-0.
"I was very happy with our performance but disappointed we didn't manage to score from the number of chances we created,"he said.
"It's no exaggeration to say we had more clear chances today than we did against Sleaford last week when we won 6-0."
Quorn have a remarkable record on their own 3G pitch - last season the Poachers were the only side to claim a league win there.
Edgley added: "At 1-0 we should have had a penalty which wasn't given - and then they went up the other end and were given a penalty that nobody appealed for.
"It was a frustrating result. If it had been 2-2, I don't think anyone would have questioned that. But if we play to that level every week, we'll certainly win more than we lose because we know they're a top 4 side."
