Boston Town reached the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Vase with their first win in the competition since 2013.
They will now travel to Anstey Nomads who beat Hucknall 2-1. The tie will take place on Saturday 10 October.
The 6-0 demolition of Sleaford was the Poachers' biggest home win in any competition for seven years.
Coincidentally, that was also in the Vase, when they beat Downham Town by the same scoreline in 2013, the last time they had any success in the competition.
Tom Garrick's hat-trick was the first by a Boston Town player since Tiago Nassunculo netted a treble in a 6-0 victory at Wellingborough Whitworth in February 2019.
The last time fans saw a home player score a hat-trick at the DWB Stadium was also against Sleaford - Cameron Johnson with all three goals in a 3-2 league win in May 2018.
As well as earning a place in the 2nd Qualifying Round, today's win also secured £550 prize money.
