The long-awaited new Boston Town book is being published this month.
Priced just £15, it’s now available to pre-order online – just in time for Christmas:
You’ll also be able to buy a copy in person at the Poachers’ next home game at the Mortgages For You Stadium on Saturday 18 December.
Many of you will have read Simon Ashberry’s previous club history Come And Sit With Us, published in 2004.
While researching that book, he realised there were big gaps in the record books.
So now Simon has written a second book, which aims to bring together all the club’s statistics going right back to 1964.
It also features some fascinating behind-the-scenes anecdotes by Andy Sandall, Steve Shipp and Paul Bownes. There’s also a foreword by Boston Standard sports editor Duncan Browne.
The new book is called To Be A Poacher and will be published by Chris Cook Print.
Kick-off on Saturday 18 December against Melton will be 3pm. The author will be available in the bar after the game to take orders.
If you haven’t got your copy of the first book, there are still copies available to buy from our online shop for £6.99 including postage.
