The returning Lee Beeson made a big difference when he came on in the second half and combined well with Bayliss after 68 minutes to set up Marshall Young for the opening goal.
The visitors replied almost immediately with a fine free-kick from Finn Brennan – but new signing George Hobbins scored from a Beeson corner with 12 minutes to go to restore the Poachers’ lead.
The JFC Under 12s mascots cranked up the atmosphere in the closing stages but Halim Bangura snatched a dramatic goal to salvage Loughborough’s unbeaten record.
