Semi-final draw

Boston Town will play Lincs Senior Trophy holders Brigg Town away for a place in this year’s final.

It will be the first meeting between the two clubs for 23 years.

That was also a semi-final in the same competition in March 2000, which the Zebras won 3-2, with Boston’s goals coming from Toby Scotney and Graham Neal.

The Poachers have previously been in the same league as Brigg on several occasions – dating back to their very first season in the Lincs League in 1964-65. They were also rivals in the Midland League and Northern Counties East League in the 1970s and 80s.

Brigg enjoyed several seasons in the Northern Premier League before suffering 3 relegations in 4 seasons and ended up briefly back in Lincs League alongside the likes of Wyberton.

They’re currently 7th in the NCEL Division One, a level below the UCL Premier North.
They beat NCEL Premier side Bottesford on penalties in their quarter-final and won the trophy last season, beating Winterton Rangers in the final.

The other semi-final will be between Deeping Rangers and Skegness Town. The ties are due to be played by the end of February.
