It’s our end of year review – and for the first time the Boston Town website is giving out some Online Awards! First up, it’s the Performance of the Year, Watch out for some more accolades in the coming days…
This was a close-run thing but we’re going to plump for the stunning 4-3 triumph away at Newark & Sherwood United in October.
The hosts were 3rd in the table going into the game, having gone 13 games unbeaten in all competitions.
But despite going behind three times, the Poachers showed remarkable fighting spirit to win with a last-gasp goal from Jordan Tate in front of a raucous crowd.
The 4-0 demolition of Winterton Rangers in the Lincs Senior Trophy was also impressive – but for sheer drama, that night at Collingham clinches the award.
