After the frustrating snowstorm at Melton, there was a blizzard of statistics to enjoy in the 5-0 win against Belper United.
You have to go back to September 2020 to find a bigger league victory for Boston Town – a 7-0 romp at Pinchbeck – and even further back for a bigger home win in the league. That was a 7-1 thumping of Ford Sports Daventry as long ago as September 2006.
The 5-0 win against Belper also equalled the most goals the Poachers have scored in a league fixture at the Mortgages For You Stadium since we beat Huntingdon 6-1 in November 2015.
Here are some other notable achievements:
- The Poachers haven’t conceded a goal at home in 6 games since Boxing Day
- They’re now unbeaten in 8 games stretching back late January
- Marshall Young became the 3rd Poachers goalscorer to hit double figures for the season, behind Fraser Bayliss and Liam Adams
- It’s the 1st time 3 different players have scored 10 or more since Will Britton, Cameron Johnson and Aaron Eyett did so in 2017-18
- Jordan Nuttell would have joined them as well if his 2 goals at Melton hadn’t been expunged when the game was abandoned

- Last time 4 different Boston Town players scored 10 or more was Gary Bull, Paul Goodhand, Jon Rowan and Micky Nuttell in 2006-07
