Farewell to Lee

Lee Beeson was given a fitting send-off as he played his final game before retiring.

The Boston Town captain was given a guard of honour by both sets of players ahead of the match against Ashby Ivanhoe.

He then received a rousing ovation as he was replaced after 84 minutes by Pat Bad.

Lee finished his Boston Town career with 176 appearances and 27 goals to his name over 5 seasons.

After the final whistle, he paid tribute to the club’s directors, coaching staff and fellow players.

His team mates serenaded him by singing “One more year, Lee Beeson” in the sunshine as they marked the end of a season which has seen them end just 2 points short of the play-offs.
