100 up for Bunny

Martyn Bunce will reach the landmark of 100 games as Boston Town manager with tonight’s visit to Newark Town.

He’s only the 7th manager to achieve the milestone after Paul Todd, Bill Curry, Bob Don-Duncan, Bill Brindley, Percy Freeman and Gary Edgley.

Edgley was the first manager to reach 100 games for almost 3 decades.

Bunce has 49 victories so far from 99 games, so one more tonight would give him a win ratio of exactly 50%. Only Don-Duncan (54.29%) and Brindley (51.24%) have a better record than that.

There’s an added incentive for the Poachers this evening as 3 points would put them top of the table after leaders Eastwood lost to Belper United last night.

In fact, both clubs have a chance of going top – but Newark would need to win by 3 goals to go above Belper on goal difference.

Kick-off tonight is 7.45pm.
