There’s still lots at stake in the United Counties League Premier North as the final two rounds of matches take place over the Easter weekend.
Here are all the Easter Saturday games involving the top seven:
Boston Town v Newark Town
Lincoln United v Heanor
AFC Mansfield v Skegness
Bourne v Hucknall
Gresley v Eastwood
Depending on today’s results, almost everything could still be to play for when the final round of fixtures take place on Easter Monday.
Or several things could be decided this afternoon:
- Boston Town will be confirmed in the play-offs if we beat Newark Town – that would also mean Newark could no longer reach the play-offs
- Lincoln United will be champions if they beat Heanor today and Eastwood and Bourne both drop points
- If either Heanor or AFC Mansfield drop points, that will also confirm Boston Town in the play-offs, regardless of our remaining results
- If Bourne lose to Hucknall, a Boston Town win against Newark Town would move us to within two points of the Wakes and give us a chance of overtaking them on the last day – the significance of those positions is that the team finishing 3rd gets a home tie in the play-off semi-finals against the 4th-placed club
