After falling agonisingly short in last year’s final, our Under 15s finally got their hands on the trophy in Woodhall this morning.
The boys got off to a blistering start, pushing Discoveries back from the off. Town were relentless in the early stages and went 2-0 up with just 10 minutes gone, both finished by Josh Dickinson.

Discoveries slowly made their way into the game and pulled one back with a highly contentious goal. A ball from the centre made its way out to the right side forward a couple of yards offside but the linesman’s flag stayed down and it was game on again.

A fiercely contested end to the half saw Discoveries pushing for an equaliser but Leo pulled off a couple of fine saves to keep Town in front.
With just seconds to go before the break, the Poachers counter attacked and Josh bagged his hat trick for 3-1.

Into the second half and Town controlled the game well. Discoveries started to commit players forward, but the defence stood firm as the minutes ticked down.
With 10 to go, a deflected shot snuck in at the far post and set up a nervous finish at 3-2.
The referee found over 6 minutes of added time from somewhere but the boys got over the line.
Under 15 league cup winners!
Up the Town!
