Boston football fans are in for a treat when rivals Town and United meet in a pre-season game on Tuesday (15 July).
It’s the 4th year in the row that the 2 clubs have played each other in a friendly.
Boston United have enjoyed narrow victories in the last 2 games, but Harry Limb scored twice to give the Poachers a 2-1 win in 2022.
Boston Town manager Chris Funnell said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting Boston United. Their turnaround to sustain National League status was phenomenal last season.

“It’s a great opportunity for us to test ourselves against a full-time outfit, and, with it being their first pre-season fixture in Boston, we would certainly welcome a large attendance on Tuesday night.
“The lads have come back with a little bit extra, given the way our last campaign finished. Playing against a club like Boston United will give us a different challenge – and it’s one we’re really looking forward to.”
The Poachers have won their last 3 warm-up games, scoring 11 goals in the process. The Pilgrims began their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 win at Lincoln United.
The local derby takes place at the Mortgages For You Stadium in Tattershall Road. Kick-off will be 7.45pm and admission is £7 for adults, £5 concessions and under 16s free with a paying adult.
