Matt Cotton was Boston Town’s talisman once again as they snatched an important last-gasp victory.
He popped up to score a 91st minute winner against promotion rivals Kimberley MW.
That’s now 25 goals for Cotton in what has been a remarkable season. No wonder he was named man of the match by sponsors Turnbull Boston Building Supplies – the fifth time he’s picked up the award so far this campaign.

To put his goalscoring efforts into context, only six other players this century have scored 25 goals in a season for the Poachers: Liam Harrold, Jamie Graham, Danny Matson, Gary Bull, Paul Goodhand and Harry Limb. And Cotton has almost half a season still left.
Only nine players in the club’s entire history have scored 30 in a season, the last being Limb last year.
With several defenders injured or suspended, Chris Funnell handed a debut to new signing Luke Hunnings, who joins from Deeping Rangers.
But it looked like being a frustrating afternoon for Town until Cotton delivered the killer blow.
The three points keep their noses in front at the top of the United Counties League Premier North table.
Next Saturday (6 December), they have a chance to stretch that lead when they travel to AFC Mansfield and second-placed Sherwood Colliery are in FA Vase action.
Kick-off at the Forest Town Arena will be at the earlier time of 2pm because of floodlight issues.
