Here’s an update from our head of youth Luke Goodyear and director of football Lorand Borbely on the first half of the 2025-26 season.
The last couple of years have seen really encouraging growth for the youth set up, from having one team with us for the 23-24 season to starting the season with 6 teams representing the club at youth level. Unfortunately our U14B team had to withdraw from all competitions in a decision we didn’t take lightly.

We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to Aaron and Loz for the amazing effort with the U14B team but unfortunately as the season progressed we couldn’t continue because of player availability.
Teams update ⬇️
U8 – Watching this group now we can see clear evidence of individual player development. The team has progressed to the final stages of the cup competition and are having some very eye-catching performances.
U9 – The group have really impressed week in week out. The boys are playing really eye catching football and the results are reflecting this. Next week the boys will go and test themselves against some of the countries strongest academy’s and we wish them the best of luck.
U12A – With 9 of the 11 players all stepping up a year to challenge themselves we couldn’t be prouder of the group. Competing in the A league the lads find themselves in a good league position and still going strong in both the league and county cup. A very encouraging season so far.
U12B – This season the team stepped up a league to play in the B league and have seen some very close games just go in the oppositions favour but the team have stayed strong and together and got the first league win of the season and are very excited now to build on this for the remainder of the season.
U14 – After a slowish start the boys are back competing in all games with a huge backlog of league games to catch up on as well as still being in the league and county cup. A big and busy second half to the season for the 14s.
What’s next ⬇️
As we have one eye on the 2026-27 season we are delighted to announce we will be growing even further adding more teams to our already amazing youth set up.
New for 2026-27 season
* U7s
* U11s
* U16s
* U11 ( Girls ) – A really exciting project to start building our girls only youth teams at the club to support our very successful ladies team
We are very keen to add a development team to the ranks to bridge the gap between our youth teams and first team.
If you would like to discuss any coaching openings at the club or you would like to register your interest for any of the youth teams please contact Goody on 07889763056.
We would just like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person who has a positive impact on our club, the managers, coaches, secretaries, volunteers, parents and players. Whilst the club is going from strength to strength both on and off the pitch the youth set up is really complementing this growth and we appreciate the hard work that is going into this.
