Poachers 3, Ashby Ivanhoe 2

Catch up with the action as it happened at the Mortgages For You Stadium with Jez Ashberry.

And there’s the final whistle! A depleted Poachers side clinch three vital points against in-form Ashby Ivanhoe .

90+3 – Boston Town threaten on the breakaway and win a free-kick 30 yards out but Limb’s shot is charged down.

90 – The referee signals a minimum of five minutes of stoppage time.

88 – A poor pass by Smith gives Johnson the chance of a shot from distance, which is parried awkwardly by Portas. Ashby are on top as Boston’s walking wounded try to hang on.

87 – Ford has been down injured but happily he’s now back up.

75 – GOAL ASHBY 3-2
The Poachers looked comfortable but there’s a mix-up at the back and Taylor Wyse capitalises to make it 3-2.

69 – The injury woes continue for Chris Funnell as Gurney goes down injured and is replaced by Nuttell.

68 – GOAL MUNTON! 3-1
Ford’s throw on the left is well worked by Cotton and Munton gets his head onto Wilson’s shot from 20 yards!

65 – Johnson is booked for a late foul on Smith. It’s quite a physical game.

55 – Limb comes on for Henderson, who’s played well but took a couple of knocks. Bayliss has dropped to right back with Tate moving into central midfield. The visitors are also temporarily down to 10 after one of their players was sin-binned.

As you were, Sherwood Colliery now lead 1-0. Back to the action here and it’s still 2-1 in the early stages of the second half. Chris Funnell doesn’t have too many options from the bench today, with Lori Borbely dusting off his boots.

We’re back underway in the second half. If the Poachers needed any more incentive to hang on to three points today, Sherwood Colliery were being held 0-0 at home at half-time by Melton Town…

HALF-TIME
And that’s it for an entertaining and competitive first 45 minutes. Ashby had a good ten-minute spell leading up to their gal but other than that, Boston Town have edged it

45 – GOAL FORD! 2-1
On the stroke of half-time the hosts are back in front! Priestley took a corner from the left and captain Fordy swung his boot at it from 12 yards!

33 – GOAL ASHBY 1-1
Ashby equalise through a low shot by Moffatt into Portas’s bottom right corner.

30 – The visitors have a free-kick on the left which leads to Clarke firing wide.

18 – Gurney heads well wide from a Munton cross from the left. Still 1-0 but the Poachers are well on top.

15 – Smith plays a good ball up to Bayliss, who tries to chip the keeper from 25 yards out but his shot is tame and easily saved.

11 – There’s a mix up at the back and Ashby Ivanhoe’s number 9 Johnson nicks it off Portas but hits the side netting from a tight angle.

8 – GOAL PRIESTLEY! 1-0
Nice work from Bayliss on the right takes him into the box, then good skill by Cotton lays it off to Priestley and he fires home from the edge of the area.

5 – First chance for Boston Town as Tate’s header from a Priestley corner is saved low by the keeper.

Here’s how the Poachers line up today:

Portas, Tate, Smith, Henderson (Limb), Ford, Wilson, Bayliss, Priestley, Gurney (Nuttell), Munton, Cotton; unused sub: Borbely

New signing Jake Henderson make his debut in midfield, with Maddison, Burdass, Gibbons and Hudson all missing. Henderson joins from Newark & Sherwood, having previously been part of the Boston United academy and played for Sleaford Town and Pinchbeck United.
