By Paul Miles reporting from Clay Cross
Boston Town cruised to a fifth successive win and are joint top alongside Sherwood Colliery, who conceded in the last minute to draw at Skegness Town.
The only change to the side that beat Melton Town the week before was Ted Gibbons replacing the injured Finley Ging at right back.
The match got underway on a sunny spring day, however chances were limited for both teams in the early stages.
Matt Cotton glanced a header over the bar from a corner on 7 minutes.

The Poachers began to find their rhythm and their domination paid off when Cotton opened the scoring on 21 minutes. His goalbound shot was deflected into the bottom corner to the delight of the away supporters who had made the trip from Lincolnshire. Clay Cross Town 0-1 BOSTON TOWN
The nearest Clay Cross came to equalising was just before half time with a shot from outside the box that went wide of Travis Portas goal.
Cotton thought he had scored his second of the match on 42 minutes only for his effort to be ruled offside after excellent build up play.

A minute later Clay Cross thought they had equalised when their goalbound shot was cleared off the line by Gibbons after a quick breakaway.
Zak Munton missed two glorious chances in the space of two minutes after excellent build up play by the visitors.
Boston Town were awarded a penalty on the 76th minute after a foul on Cotton.
