Boston Town are now unbeaten away from home for more than a year as they head to Eastwood this weekend.
Admittedly, they’ve played far fewer games than usual because of the pandemic.
But the Poachers will still be keen to extend their record of not having lost yet this season on their travels.
Eastwood Town were regular foes in the old Midland League and Northern Counties East League days in the 1970s and 1980s. However, they folded in 2014, with a new club called Eastwood Community FC now playing at their old ground in their place.
The last time we played at Coronation Park was in 1987 when Eastwood Town beat Boston FC 2-0 in the Northern Counties East League. Things may have changed a bit since then – not least that it’s now an artificial pitch!
Lee Beeson will be available again this weekend after serving his two-match suspension.
Kick-off at Eastwood in 3pm on Saturday (30 October).
