New coaching team

Boston Town’s new coaching team are raring to go for the new season.

Joining new manager Martyn Bunce is another new face in fitness coach Liam Wilson.

The quartet are completed by assistant manager Lori Borbely and coach Derrick Nuttell.

Liam has a diploma in sports massage and had been at Nottingham University for two years, studying sports science. He’s previously worked with Kirton Town and will be an important part of the new set-up.

Martyn was announced as the Poachers’ new boss in April.

A former goalkeeper, he made 26 appearances in the club’s first ever season in the United Counties League in 1991-92, playing alongside the likes of Chris Cook and Jim Rodwell.

Martyn has a wealth of coaching and management experience, including in the National League North. He’s previously worked for Boston United, Wisbech Town and Skegness Town.

Lori and Derrick will continue in their roles in 2022-23. Lori is second on the all-time list of most appearances for the club with 481 in 16 seasons., while Derrick played 167 times for the Poachers from 1990 to 1994 in the team that famously reached the FA Vase semi-finals.
