Martyn Bunce is expecting a 50:50 game when his side take on Deeping Rangers in the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy Final.
Boston Town are 3 places higher and 9 points better off than their rivals in the United Counties League Premier Division North table.
But Deeping have the edge in terms of recent games between the two sides. The Poachers have won only one of their last 15 encounters – that was a 4-2 victory at the Mortgages For You Stadium in August 2021.
Prior to that, you have to go back to April 2016, when a young Jordan Nuttell scored a hat-trick in a 3-1 win at the Haydon Whitham Stadium.
Here’s how both teams reached the final:

Bucne told Lincolnshire Non-League Radio after Saturday’s win at Pinchbeck: “It’s a 50:50 game, 100% – so we approach it like we do every game.
“We’ve not spoken about it and that is the truth. We literally take one at a time and tonight we’ll start thinking about now and looking at planning for it.
“It’s going to be a great game and both teams like to play and we’re really looking forward to it.”
Boston and Deeping have already met twice in the league this season, with both games ending in a 1-1 draw.
The Lincolnshire Senior Trophy Final is at Boston United’s ground on Wednesday (5 April), kick-off 7.45pm.
