FINAL WHISTLE – The Poachers have claimed a famous victory in their first ever Step 4 league game! What a performance and what a result!

Goals came from Bayliss, Limb, and Cotton as Boston Town claimed 4th place in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division table.

YELLOW CARD – Graves picks up a booking in added time.

SUBS – Harvey Graves and Ollie Houlston come on for Limb and Bayliss after 86 minutes.

85 mins – Corby pull one back from a corner.

SUB – Luke Wilson comes on for Gibbons after 82 minutes.

GOAL – The Poachers are in dreamland as MATT COTTON makes it 3-0 after 81 minutes!

GOAL – And it’s HARRY LIMB who doubles the visitors’ lead after 78 minutes!

YELLOW CARD – Harry Limb is the second Poachers player to be booked – only a quarter of the game to go.

SUB – Macca Burdass comes on for Shaun Archer after 66 minutes.

Today’s attendance at Steel Park has been announced as 553 – great to see so many Poachers fans among that number!

SUB – Tom Siddons replaces Zak Munton after 58 minutes.

57 mins – Approaching the hour mark and the visitors still lead by that precious Bayliss goal – interesting to hear the half-time verdict of Chuck Middleton: https://soundcloud.com/chuckmiddleton/corby-town-0-boston-town-1

We’re back underway here at Steel Park.

HT – And that’s the interval. What a very satisfactory first 45 minutes of Step 4 league football for Chris Funnell’s side.

YELLOW CARD – Jordon Crawford becomes the latest Corby player to be cautioned.

In tonight’s other games in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division, it’s goalless between Coventry United and Grantham Town, while Basford United lead 3-2 at Rugby Borough.

YELLOW CARD – Another Corby booking, this time for Ben Challinor – the visitors still lead by the Bayliss goal.

YELLOW CARD – Corby’s Martin Tsvetkov is next to be booked.

It’s fitting that such a historic goal was scored by one of our longest-serving players. That’s now 96 goals for Fras since he made his Boston Town debut in 2015 – he’s closing in on becoming only the 6th player to reach 100 goals for the club.

YELLOW CARD – Midway through the first half and Ted Gibbons is the first to go in the referee’s book for kicking the ball away.

GOAL! FRASER BAYLISS is played in by a flick on from Matt Cotton and the Poachers lead after 9 minutes!

We’re underway as the Poachers make history tonight. It’s our first ever Step 4 league fixture – stay tuned for live updates from Steel Park.

Here’s how the Poachers line up:

Edwards, Gibbons (L Wilson), Smith, Tate, Ford, Ging, Bayliss (Houlston), Archer (Burdass), Limb (Graves), Cotton, Munton (Siddons)
