Chris Funnell praised his side’s discipline and bravery after an impressive victory at Bedworth United.
He said his team produced the perfect away performance against a team who are riding high in the table.
Goals in each half by Tom Siddons and Harry Limb ended the Poachers’ eight-match winless run.
Siddons opened the scoring after 29 minutes when he slotted it into the top corner from a Fraser Bayliss cutback.
Limb came off the bench in the second half and doubled the lead from the penalty spot after 64 minutes.
Kris Gagyi replaced Richard Ford for his debut as Boston Town saw out the game.
Jordan Tate produced a superb goal-line clearance after a scramble on 80 minutes and Jake West pulled off a great save in injury time to preserve a second successive clean sheet away from home.
The Poachers are next in action at home to Barwell on Tuesday night (Sept 22, ko 7.45pm) at the Mortgages For You Stadium.
They’re also at home to Coleshill Town next Saturday (Sept 26), with both of those matches in the league.
Town: West, Bayliss, Smith, Ford (Gagyi), Tate, Hudson, Graves (Munton), Gibbons, Siddons (Limb), Cotton, Zaluzinskis (Ging)
