Boston Town staged a remarkable comeback to make it two wins in a row.
They trailed 2-0 at half-time but stunned the visitors after the break to climb up to fifth in the Northern Premier League Midlands table.
Barwell took the lead after 13 minutes through Charlie Dowd, despite appeals from the home side for a foul on Fraser Bayliss.
They doubled their lead after 21 minutes through a Brady Hickey tap-in after a free kick.
Poachers boss Chris Funnell sent on Zak Munton and Kris Zaluzinskis to replace Tom Siddons and Harvey Graves – and the changes quickly made an impact.
Barwell’s Shay Willock was shown a second yellow for a foul on Jordan Tate after 57 minutes.
Within five minutes, Boston Town reduced the arrears thanks to a fine strike by Will Van Lier. The midfielder was making his debut after signing on dual registration from Kettering Town.
Now the hosts were in the ascendancy and after 69 minutes Jordan Tate equalised with another terrific effort from distance.
Zak Munton headed wide with a great chance to add a third, but then Barwell hit the self-destruct button again.
Herve Pepe Ngoma was given a straight red only two minutes after coming on as a sub, leaving his side with only 9 players.
The Poachers surged forward in the final 10 minutes of normal time but it looked as if the Leicestershire side would hang on – only for referee Ryan Calvert to award a penalty in stoppage time as a goalbound effort was deflected over the bar.
Harry Limb stepped up to slot home his sixth goal of the season – and 97th in all for Boston Town.
