Boston Town will again bid to break their duck against Grantham Town next weekend – at the 19th attempt.
Their winless record against the Gingerbreads is their worst against any club.
The two clubs have previously met 18 times over the past 61 years – and Grantham have won 15 of those games, with three ending in draws.

Now Chris Funnell’s side have another chance to register a first victory when they make the short trip to the South Kesteven Stadium on Saturday (31 October). The Northern Premier League Midlands fixture will kick off at 3pm.
Last season, Boston Town managed a 0-0 draw there in the United Counties League – the first time they had avoided defeat against Grantham since 1969. The return league match at the Mortgages For You Stadium saw the visitors win 1-0 and the Gingerbreads also won by the same scoreline at the same ground in the Lincs Senior Trophy.
Remarkably, the Poachers have only ever scored 3 times against Grantham since the two Lincolnshire rivals first met in 1965. Their last goal was by Stu Park in an FA Cup defeat in 1989.
Boston had a blank Saturday at the weekend because their scheduled opponents Mickleover were in FA Trophy action.
Their next home game will be on Saturday 7 November against fourth-placed Boldmere St Michael’s, again in the Northern Premier League Midlands Division. Kick-off will be 3pm.
