The long-awaited new Boston Town book is finally on sale!
You’ll now be able to buy the book in person for the first time at the next home fixture against Newark on Saturday 22 January.
We’re hoping several ex-players will be at the game for an official book launch in the clubhouse after the final whistle.
Priced just £15, To Be A Poacher is also available to buy online.
We had hoped to have the book ready for Christmas but printing was unfortunately delayed.
Many of you will have read Simon Ashberry’s previous club history Come And Sit With Us, published in 2004.
While researching that book, he realised there were big gaps in the record books.
So now Simon has written this second book, which aims to bring together all the club’s statistics going right back to 1964.
To Be A Poacher also features some fascinating behind-the-scenes anecdotes by Andy Sandall, Steve Shipp and Paul Bownes. There’s also a foreword by Boston Standard sports editor Duncan Browne. It’s also packed with archive photos.
The new book is being published by Chris Cook Print.
If you haven’t got your copy of the first book, there are still copies available to buy from our online shop for £6.99 including postage.
