Chris Funnell was full of praise for his players after Boston Town claimed a memorable win in their first ever Step 4 league game.
Fraser Bayliss gave them a ninth minute lead in front of a crowd of 553 after a flick-on by Matt Cotton.
The Poachers could have been further ahead at half-time but Corby came back into the game in the second half.

Harry Limb doubled the visitors’ lead after 78 minutes and Cotton added a third three minutes later before the home side grabbed a late consolation.
Funnell said on X: “It might be game one of 42 and it’s a long 10 month slog but I’m dead proud of that performance and result. Lads were outstanding and showed every facet of what we’re about.”
He added: “Fantastic support last night too from all that travelled.”
