Edgley said Bayliss showed great courage in optingContinue reading “Tribute to Graham Bayliss”

Tom Mucklin bounced back from the disappointment of being sent off in midweek to score the winner against stubborn Selston. He stabbed home from close range as Harry Limb fired in from the right. Just before the interval, the visitors were reduced to 10 men when Jack Cockram saw red for a reckess challenge onContinue reading “Poachers 1, Selston 0”
Winterton 3, Poachers 1
An understrength Boston Town side bowed out of the county cup against their Northern Counties East League opponents. Lee Beeson continued his fine goalscoring form by firing home from 20 yards after 7 minutes. But the hosts turned it around to lead 2-1 at the break. The turning point came after 65 minutes with aContinue reading “Winterton 3, Poachers 1”
Newark 2, Poachers 5
Boston Town cruised to a thumping win in their first ever competitive match against Newark. Gary Edgley’s side made light of the freezing conditions and artificial pitch as they fired home four goals in the first half. Harry Limb opened the scoring after 12 minutes as he converted a great cross from Fraser Bayliss. HeContinue reading “Newark 2, Poachers 5”
